Abstract

According to the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas), a significant majority of the Indonesian population (94.7%) demonstrate good toothbrushing habits, defined as brushing their teeth on a daily basis. Nevertheless, only 2.8% of them brush their teeth at the recommended times— namely, at least twice a day: once in the morning after breakfast and once at night before sleep. Preliminary data collected from third-grade students at SDN Nawangan 1 revealed that most students have a low level of knowledge regarding proper toothbrushing practices. This research was conducted to assess the students' understanding of toothbrushing through the implementation of a modified snakes and ladders educational game. The study employed a descriptive approach and involved 35 third-grade students as respondents. A structured questionnaire was used to collect the data. The analysis was carried out by computing percentage averages, and the results were displayed in tables. Findings from the study indicated that the students' knowledge of toothbrushing had improved to a good level. In conclusion, the thirdgrade students at SDN Nawangan 1 demonstrated a good level of knowledge regarding proper toothbrushing techniques following the intervention
